Participation Information for the ISPM Meetings

Participation

• Travel and living expenses of the participants should be covered by the home institutions. Limited support is avaliable mainly for participants from developing countries.
• Young persons with only limited experience should enclose a letter of recommendation from the head of their research group or from a senior person active in the field.
• Limited funds are available for young researchers, graduates and post-graduate students from Central-Eastern European countries, including those belonging to South Caucasus Region. For more information on financial support please read ISPM-ROSTE announcement.

Financial Conditions

The organizing fee typically US$ 50 (paid in cash upon arrival). The total fee for local expenses is about 30 - 70 US$ per day (including guesthouse accommodation & meals). Of course hotel accommodation in wide price range (100$- 300$ per night) is also available upon special request.

Transportation

The regular flights to Tbilisi are available from Amsterdam, Athens, Baku, Dubai, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Kiev, London, Moscow, Minsk, Munich, Paris, Prague, Tel-Aviv, Vienna and other cities. Flight schedules can be found here.

Visa

Participants from most countries would need entry visa for Georgia. If you need visa and there is Georgian Embassy or Consulate in country of your residence you can obtain entry visa in advance. As an alternative one can obtain visa upon arrival at the Tbilisi airport. For additional information there is website maintained by Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
